Reports
Create multi-object queries to analyze your data
Overview
Reports allow you to query and combine data from multiple objects, creating powerful analytics views. Unlike saved views which filter a single object, reports can join data across objects—for example, showing all Deals associated with People in a specific region.
Creating a Report
- Navigate to Reports in the sidebar
- Click Create Report
- Enter a name and optional description
- Select the objects to include
- Configure joins between objects
- Add filters and select columns
- Click Save
Selecting Objects
Choose which objects to include in your report. You can select:
- A single object for simple filtered exports
- Multiple objects to combine related data
The first object becomes the base of your query—results will include one row per record in the base object.
Configuring Joins
When including multiple objects, define how they relate to each other:
Direct Joins
Use when one object has a reference field pointing to another:
- Example: Deals has a "Contact" reference field pointing to People
- Join: Deals → People (via Contact field)
Indirect Joins
Use when two objects both reference a common third object:
- Example: Both Deals and Activities reference People
- Join: Deals → Activities (both via Person field)
Join Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Left Join | Include all base records, even without matches |
| Inner Join | Only include base records that have matches |
Adding Filters
Apply filters to narrow your results. Filters can be added to any object in the report:
- Select the object to filter
- Choose an attribute
- Select an operator (equals, contains, greater than, etc.)
- Enter the filter value
Multiple filters are combined with AND logic.
Selecting Columns
Choose which attributes appear in your report results:
- Check the attributes you want to include
- Attributes from all joined objects are available
- Reorder columns by dragging
Column headers include the object name for clarity (e.g., "People: Email", "Deals: Amount").
Running Reports
Preview
Click Preview to see a sample of results (limited to 10 rows). Use preview to verify your configuration before running the full report.
Execute
Click Run to execute the full report:
- The query runs against current data
- Results are stored in the execution history
- You can view result counts and download data
Execution History
Each report maintains a history of executions showing:
- When the report was run
- Who executed it
- Number of results
- Status (completed, failed)
Click on any execution to view or export its results.
Exporting Results
Export report results to CSV:
- Open the report's execution history
- Find the execution you want to export
- Click the Download icon
- The CSV includes all selected columns with proper headers

Best Practices

- Use preview - Test your configuration before running full reports
- Name clearly - Use descriptive names that indicate what the report shows
- Document purpose - Add descriptions to help team members understand each report
